A new computer Trojan has infected almost 550,000 Apple Mac OS X machines and many more face the risk of getting infected. The Mac OS is widely thought to be 'virus-free' and the infection of so many machines comes as a shock to users.

Russian anti-virus vendor Dr. Web first spotted the attack which is spreading through almost four million infected web pages. The computer Trojan Backdoor.Flashback has mostly infected computers in USA and Canada. The United States comprises of 56.6% of the infected users, Canada has 19.8% and the United Kingdom comes third with 12.8%. These infected computers are now a part of a botnet and they can be controlled by criminals to steal data and download malicious content. The Trojan uses vulnerability in Java to infect the computer. The infection spreads by just visiting the website, which downloads a file and this file is responsible for downloading more malicious content on the computer.

The Mac OS is widely reputed to be virus free but Dr. Web clarifies that hackers rarely make viruses and Trojans to infect these computers because of less numbers when compared to the number of computers running Windows. Windows operating system is more lucrative to hackers since there are a larger number of users and the virus can spread faster.

Keith Olbermann has sued his former employer Current TV for $50 M and filed a breach of contract in Los Angeles as he blasted the TV network for having shoddy production values. The media is abuzz with the firing of Keith Olbermann and the disclosure of his pay packet by his former employers.

The cancellation of his show and the numerous problems that were faced by him while hosting the TV program are the main points in the lawsuit filed against Current TV co-founder, Joel Hyatt and the network President David Borman.

Current TV, which is co founded by Vice President Al Gore has not made any comment on Olbermann's lawsuit so far. He was fired by the TV network on the 30th of March and replaced by a new show hosted by former New York Governor Eliot Spitzer. The co-founders have mentioned in a statement that their relation with Keith Olbermann no longer boasted of respect or other professional values.

According to researcher SNL Kagan, Current TV HAS 68.5 million subscribers and an estimated net operating annual revenue of $ 127 million in the year 2012.Keith Olbermann had taken off his TV show from the air and had refused to anchor election segments ,this year after clashes with the producers at the network.
